Title: TWO COMPANIONS Verse: Ayat-ul-Kursi —————————————— This painting is an ode to the companionship of our Prophet Muhammad (SAW) and Hazrat Abubakr (RA). Notice how everything is in pairs? The chain in the background symbolises the strength of their friendship, Abubakr (RA) always the first person to support our Prophet (SAW) unconditionally. The famous verse revealed to them in the Cave of Thawr (Do not fear, Allah is with us), is inscripted under the openings present in the Blessed gate. The coarse textured background symbolises the hard path they trod, with a small sandala motif painted above. It also only seemed befitting to script the Ayat-ul-kursi, also known as the verse of protection. What other hidden meanings speak out to you?
