Title: To be Free
Inspiration: Narrated Abu Huraira (RA): Allah's Messenger (PBUH) said, "Satan puts three knots at the back of the head of any of you if he is asleep. On every knot he reads and exhales the following words, 'The night is long, so stay asleep.' When one wakes up and remembers Allah, one knot is undone; and when one performs ablution, the second knot is undone, and when one prays the third knot is undone and one gets up energetic with a good heart in the morning; otherwise one gets up lazy and with a mischievous heart." (Sahih al-Bukhari) The three abstract knots on the side of the painting symbolise those tied by Satan. The two Chapters scripted are known as the “Mu-awwadhatain” (the two chapters through which refuge in Allah is sought). Reciting them regularly was a practice of or Prophet (PBUH). On every night before the Messenger of Allah (PBUH)went to sleep, he collected his palms, then puffed them while reciting Al Ikhlas, Al Falaq, and An Nas, then rub the reachable parts of his body using his palms, starting from his head, his face, and parts of body. He repeated that three times. Even when he was ill, A'isha (RA) did that to him. (Bukhari) -
