The pattern on this print resonates with almost everyone who has journeyed to the Holy Lands. It is the pattern on the Blessed rawdah within the Prophet Muhammad’s mosque.


Inspiration: The background of this painting depicts the print of the green carpet which is laid between the house and minbar of the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), within Masjid Al-Nabawi. This area is known as “ a garden from the gardens of Paradise”, hence better known as the rawdah. Praying 2 circuits of prayer on this carpet is as though one has prayed in Paradise. With this in mind, I chose to script the verse: “jazaa an bi’ma kaanu ya’maloon” (as a reward, for what they used to do) 56:24
This reward being all the bounties in Paradise, the most bountiful of them will be the countenance of our Lord, Allah!

Beautiful Countenance

Other than having an original, this beautiful print was the next best thing. So happy with the piece, the colours are so vivid and dazzling. The ordering & delivery process was straightforward & hassle-free. Can’t wait to add more of Rashida Art’s work to my collection inshaAllah.
