Preview of my upcoming collection

It's been THREE years since I released an entire Mixed-media collection. How has this happened? 

Life, you can call it. And learning new skills. And investing in myself and others. 

The last mixed-media collection I released was "The Abstract Edit", all of which have now found their forever homes. 

Although I devoted a lot of my time during the past couple of years to learning the traditional arts, I have thoroughly enjoyed applying what I've learnt in a spontaneous, flowing and abstract body of work. The studio has been a place of refuge for me, an escape from the daily, and the calm in my storm.

This collection is inspired by themes of play, rest, worship and surrender.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

11 Paintings -

4 small individual pieces 12" x 16"

2 x diptychs at 18" x 24" each

2 large individual pieces 24" x 36"

During the creation of this collection, I had to find a way to let go. To surrender, and allow the art to flow from me. In preparation of this work, I went through numerous small study pieces, which allowed me to release the tension which had built up in my muscles. It gave me freedom that I so craved, and this abandon shows in the work. Each of the pieces is unique and demonstrates intuitive painting.

The song which I have been listening to on repeat whilst making this work was "The Fire Within" - composed and performed by Sami Yusuf, I'd encourage you to give it a listen to get a feel for the work.
